An idea I had for an anthro character so they can have fully webbed hands for swimming or just because their species had webbed limbs

The webbing would be made of a very elastic skin and the hand would have an extra muscle on its base that would pull the skin back if the creature needed to use their hands. This would probably be a sub- conscious action so they do not need to think about it

The first spot would be a rest position and the most common this also would be how their hand would look if you saw them sleeping

The second has the skin partially pulled back to allow them to use an object that only requires a small amount of their fingers this would not be a hard thing for them to do any they could do this for a long time

The third spot is the farthest back the skin would go. This spot would be hard to continue and would get uncomfortable after a while. Because of this they normally would only pull the skin back to a point before this when they need to use something.

The last square is how they could wear gloves that allow them to use their fingers. Having the skin back all the way for an extended time would probably get uncomfortable so this is the point that I think they could push it back to for an extended time without getting too uncomfortable to wear.


This would probably also apply to the feet of this character but I did not put points there because they would not need to put an object between their toes to function like a human.
