Turtles Turtles Turtles!!!

Here's another little comic for you all.

This is my own little nod/tribute to NiChan, an artist whose work has caught my eye very recently, and was, in a way, unknowingly responsible for giving me that bit of inspiration that led to that big "Anthropomorphic Superhero' spriting crossover thing I've been doing for a while now. Her artwork kicks ass, and I like her style.

So this comic is my way of giving a shout out to her.

This comic is also a fun little tribute to the Japanese Giant Monster, Gamera, who is THE original heroic mutant turtle. This was also done in response to some peoples' desire to see more stuff about Gamera, as he too has built quite the fan base on the net. And since I like the big guy as well, I figured, why not?

And since I was using the female TURTLE character persona of an artist I admire, and a giant Japanese TURTLE monster... it only made sense to bring in the Ninja Turtles themselves as well. They were quite possibly my most favorite heroes at one point in time in my childhood, rivaled only by Godzilla or Transformers.

But MAN did this take a while to get done though. Lotta referrence art, added to the fact that I haven't drawn a ninja turtle (of any kind) in like... a decade and a half or so... much less with a paint program... thus this took quite a long time to finish.

So I hope it's worth a few chuckles.
