I used to work as an electrical technician, and the first question I ask is, "is your computer/monitor/nanodoohicky plugged in/have batteries?" People ask if I think they're stupid, and I say, "Well I don't know you, but statistically, there's a good chance of it." XD

Suddenly I feel really bad for anyone who worked at an Apple store after that hoax a couple years ago where 4chan convinced a bunch of stupid people that microwaving their iPhones would recharge the battery. :P

This reminds me of the days I worked in an arcade. Some of the games were 2 players and they shared a coin slot, so you'd need to press a button to tell the game which player to allocate the money to. The number of people who missed the big, flashing, CREDIT button was just astounding as I was constantly complained at with "I put my money in and the machine didn't give me a game, I demand a free game or my money back". Morons.

Interestingly, regarding that particular case, McD's does keep their coffee at a higher temperature (190) than most other places (160) in order to keep it from getting bitter, apparently. This is just enough heat to severely worsen scalds.

You know why they explain how to use the seat belt every time you get on a flight?

It's for these people.

Also, did you know there are people who don't know how to use an elevator? Or escalators? Or rotating doors.

Like, if you stop at the bottom of an escalator, the people who are still on it can't actually stop and wait until you move? Apparently, no - they don't know this... :)

Even if that were the case, there's still the people that'll stop at the end of a crowded stairwell, thus often stopping everyone trying to use the stairs as stairs, though rarely someone operating with the same level of life skills will forget to stop.

I think it's part of a growing trend.. as one of my friends describes it "There is only one car - one bicyclist - one pedestrian - one person.." That's how everyone acts these days. "I'm the only person and no one else exists or matters. All that matters is that I get what I want or get to do what I want. It's all about ME... you don't count."
