Teresa Monday, figlia di un sergente militare congedato e di una sua ex-prigioniera, è una ambiziosa pantera nera che fa la giornalista d'assalto e tutte le riprese che fa con la sua videocamera le fa esclusivamente all'interno di zone di guerra, in modo tale che niente all'interno della guerra sfugga ai suoi occhi intuitivi. Per sopravvivere a questa pericolosa impresa, Teresa si è specializzata nel parkour e nel Brazilian jiu-jitsu, mentre, dopo una vacanza nella Chun-nan occidentale, conobbe una tecnica segreta particolare che le permette saltare a mezz'aria manovrando il vento attorno a sé.
