This inspired a little poem of sorts..
/Start:
"It was as if a great presence was felt across the clearing,
The wind rustled, but seemed unsure of itself...
but the birds, the birds new what was coming,
huddled close on their secluded branches,
wary of the coming being, yet not afraid.
As sudden as a gust of wind,
the great Jagertinger bounded across the plains,
sweeping along as gracefully as a midsummers breeze...
each stride leaving nay a twig snapped nor a leaf out of place,
as the massive creature made its way towards the horizon,
carrying with it a flurry of excitement in its wake.
Its destination is as ambiguous as its trail,
for we know not how to determine either,
for how does one track the wind?"
::Journal Entry #????::
--JAGERTINGER-- (Genus unknown)
... little is known of these legendary creatures,
and this drives the expedition,
the search to find more about these magnificent beasts.
"The Jagertinger,by all reasoning should resemble a slow, lumbering creature; constrained by the bonds of gravity and tortured by the physics involved with animals of its size...
However the Jangertinger is clearly not of this world, its blatant disregard for common convention, coupled with its clearly understood nobility make this enigma one of the most captivating creatures i have had the pleasure of observing." ~ Professor Stern McReasearch, head of the Jager foundation.
