Okay thanks to everyone's feed back I know a little more about what is missing from other books currently available and what folks are wanting.
However it also means my previous idea of paying for the book will be a bit more challenging. I'd hoped to have each species type supported by doing an individual character commission.
But if folks are wanting more on facial structure, emotions and perspectives on the face that won't work as well.
So I'm going to try something a bit different to try and sponsor this important aspect. I'll still be doing individual speices / character pages, don't worry but this I hope will be a way to still get this important content included.
I'm going to do a Dutch Auction style Fund Raiser. So in a way it's very similar to what you find on Kickstarter or Paetron but without using those services.
For a bid of $5.00 you will get a copy of the Facial Expressions and Perspectives as JPGs as soon as I finish them.
For a bid of $10.00 you will get a copy of the Facial Expressions and Perspectives as JPGs as soon as I finish them and a copy of the PDF book when it's finished and get to choose from a list of options what species I'll offer. I'll have a list of around 10 or more options. I plan to have several done for the book.
For a bid of $35.00 you will get a copy of the Facial Expressions and Perspectives as JPGs as soon as I finish them and a copy of the PDF book when it's finished and get to specifically choose a species to have drawn and pick what facial expressions and perspectives get drawn for that particular species.
**Please note I do retain the right to turn down a species Idea if I find it's too complex or not relivent. If you do not have another preference you do not have to pay. **
Since this is a 'dutch' style auction it means if you bid, you win what you bid for. This is not the typical bid a higher price than the previous bidder. You bid, you agree to pay that amount at the end of the auction. Everyone wins!
These will be 'sketches' and 'refined sketches'. THEY WILL NOT BE COLORED. I MAY ink some if the bids get high enough to justify the amount of time I put in.
I am hoping to raise at least $35.00 per set of facial expressions.
The more that is raised the more sets of facial expressions I'll be able to do for the book!
If you want to bid more than the options you may do so to help support the fundraiser ! People who bid will also be listed in the book as supporters.
IF THE BIDS DO NOT EXCEED $35.00 I will cancel the auction and no one will have to pay.

-Payment is required upfront, via PAYPAL. Must be made within 3 days after the auction ends. If winner fails to pay, the slot will go to the next highest bidder.

I just found this clearing out my 100+ submission list. Perhaps give it a go again but plan for it to last longer (I see you had it up for a week, I would have something like this up at least a month for people to be able to see it), and try sharing the post on main furry facebook groups to let people know about it?
