I've taken the liberty of marking on this picture the very incarnation of my hatred of anime. You'll notice I only took pictures from 2 scenes. That's because I couldn't bare to watch any more. And this is Full Metal Alchemist. That's supposed to be a good anime, right? Tut tut anime fans. Tut tut.
(Oh, and if any of you dare mention Cowboy Bebop, I defy you, and challenge you to find one of these faces in the entirety of Bebop. Not counting Edward. How I hate you Edward...)

XD I'm a bit harsh on anime sometimes, but it's just because I find it hard to believe SO MANY people like the silleh faces. I'm kind of being loud and proud about not liking it to make up for the thousands of fans that outnumber me.
If you guys started a revolution I'm pretty sure you'd outnumber loyalists about 5:1. Not sure what you'd rebel about exactly, but it'd be scary and I'd be forced to change my name and begin life anew on a deserted island with no access to Pokemon reruns.

you forgot that anime in itself is pratically one show. the characters all around are annoying, the plots are over drawn and too long windeed, the females are unatractive, and that said id be with a japaniese girl over any fucked up anime character.
and lastly, every show rips off another.......and its way more noticible than any other genre out there.
did i mention the dialog is pointless? after watching just a few minutes, you'd be begging to go back to the silent age! if it dosent get annoying or creepy, it gets fucking boring! everone talks for so long! and the philosiphies are the worst, especially when it creats its own mynthos.....and startrek fans was one thing.
why does it have to be so popular? i mean.....argh....the opnes for 4kids are the worst, and dispite anyone trying to find it deep....just know the entertainment value as a jackie chan, or jon woo movie.....you only came to see the fightscenes.
and the fight scenes are boring in anime too. if someone wouldnt spend there cash for huge seriese, thed have better animation with less airtime, which can be good thing for some.
the only good thing it did, was ake things look pretty.....if you dont count the hairstyles and wardrobes. and me, id only say, WHATS WRONG WITH THE MAKERS OF THIS CRAP! i wouldnt put anything on the japanies.....of coarse the other formates anime goes to.....like video games.....yikes....and only got decent when resident evil 4 was made....those games concentraited way too much on plot, and you could tell it was japanies, if you paid a key eye to it.
fuck......need to look at something more positive before i snap. i share your pain dude.......though it could be for other reasones.

I know what you mean about them all seeming so similar. With a couple exceptions (Cowboy Bebop and Black Lagoon being the only two I like) anime on a whole seems to be so samey. And it really annoys me people complaining that I say I don't like it. They'll always say "How can you say you don't like anime? It's so varied. It's like saying you don't like music", but it's really nothing like that. It's more like saying you don't like, for example, rap music.
And yeah, I hate the fight scenes (Again, except for CB and BL) All superpowers and lasers, and after a nuclear explosion the main characters just sitting in the crater with a couple scratches twitching and grunting a bit, but then somehow still wins.
And the hair! Oh yes, the hair! So horribly stupid. Almost as bad as the faces they pull.
