As often as Ichi-gou finds himself in violent and plenty dangerous situations, they're not really the norm of his existence. They're peaks of activity, amid times of not doing much at all, or general tedium. Clawing into a liche or putting a bullet into some other aggressor just tend to stand out amidst the day to day.
Such stories do make good bar tales though. And even though he can be a bit crass at times, and isn't all that interested in attracting the attentions of any ladies in the area (he's an android who's not quite as fully functional as Data, after all), at times a bit of melancholy and comraderie can hit, and he might open up a bit to someone who seems interested in the experiences of a Multiversal traveler and warrior.
Notice though, that he's not looking quite as polished and sleek as he used to, like here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/6121075/
It's been a long time since his nano-regenerative systems worked properly. As a result he's built-up a bit of battle damage that didn't get immediately repaired, lost an antennae, and the internal strain from his core plasma generator is putting a lot of stress on his body.
He is, in short, doing the android version of aging. And it's such an unpredictable process that he doesn't quite know which is going to fail first: his body's structural integrity, or his power core. If it's the former, he will likely be leaving an impressive crater wherever he happens to be. If it's the later, someone will probably find his hulk lying in the dirt, or street, or perhaps crumpling through a bar-top in-front of everyone.
He has managed to patch himself up a bit since then. His shell is now shinier, his back-plates now properly align and allow him to sit up straight, and his core is in a bit of better shape, but he knows that's all just patch-work.
But complete failure hasn't happened yet. And anyone with the tiniest thought of testing themselves against him would really do well to inform themselves of the fact that Ichi-gou is a Multiversal Grand Tournament Champion, and was regarded as one of the absolute deadliest, hardest-hitting, and skillful warriors of the Technocracy. His body might not be at the level of ramming himself through an orbiting cruiser anymore, but his intellect and skill are as top-notch as ever.
If you want to have a seat and swap tales of what you've encountered out in the Multiverse, by all means. But this isn't someone you'd want to start up a bar-brawl with.

You mentioned working with character concepts with other people. We could do that (brainstorming), or we could even exchange ideas back and forth via notes, Google Docs, Skype, any of those that would be convenient to you. Honestly I've liked this character for a while now, but this was the image and story that really made me feel truly sympathetic to him.
I don't suppose he'd be the type to accept a hug? ^^

Probably only under very certain conditions, like a good-bye to a longtime friend. Ichi's not very touchy feely at the best of times, and he has to be very careful about physical contact. The toxin coating him could drop most people to the floor with a tiny scratch.
I'd be up for chatting about it. Note me your skype.

Good to hear! Gotta make sure the original creators get their props!
It's a bit of a complicated story, but as far as Ichi-gou knows, he's the only remaining member of his former organization. He used to be part of the military-arm of a Multiverse-wide corporation, called The Technocracy.
It survived for millennia, and actually dominated the Multiversal space for a while.
But as with most corporations that grew too large, too complex, and beset by other factions, it eventually fell apart, and almost all of its facilities have been taken over or destroyed.
There probably are other surviving Technocrats out there, but Ichi hasn't encountered any of them. And considering he pretty much cut-and-run when he didn't like the way things were going, he may or may not want to, since they might not be pleased he skipped out.
For reference's sake, this is what he looks like when not slowly falling apart: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/6121075/

I've actually started up a battle RP with an old friend where an assassin is after him, and he's repaired what he can of his body, but he's still nowhere near his top form, and his self-regenerative system is still inactive.

I'm reworking the bio for him right now, but the basic gist is that the bio makes it sound like even the regen-system itself needs occasional upkeep by a facility designed to keep it working right. Since those facilities are all gone, it eventually switched off, and he was then vulnerable to real battle damage and internal stresses.
