It's such a great day for drawing. I'm currently at my husband's granny's house for the weekend for a much needed rest. Photo taken with and uploaded via mobile phone.
This is just about everything I like rolled up in a single character design. I could never decide between cool woodsy green and brown or flame reds and yellows for my "representative" fursona. So I was able to incorporate both without making it look like mud or Christmas. I am in love with phoenix symbolism so I gave her some phoenix feathers (taken from another character of mine, Mercy the phoenix) and used the "cycle of life" rebirth theme of green forest life instead of fire. I feel completely at peace in the middle of a forest so I definitely wanted to use that theme with the grass mane and lil' twiggy antlers. The crown is to always remind me who I am, because I think I've found it. Bonus! Bri's coat, being planty, changes with the seasons. This is her spring/summer coat. She can be drawn with flowers growing out of her fur.
This design is still certainly a work in progress, and will grow with me (give me a break, I'm kinda new to the fandom). You may now refer to me as half bird, half fox, half Chia Pet. More art later when I get some work done.
