A much larger, winged critter draws near, spines all stiffened and splayed as though in warning. Massive antlers adorned a painted head, held low with icy, dead eyes brutally focused on the rounded canine. Closer it crept, its talons digging into the frosted ground with each silent step. Some feet away from its target, those intricately marked wings spread wide and the various pinions spread further, rattling dangerously. Its hackles pulled back to reveal a horrid collection of fangs, wrinkles forming as though smiling in some dire pleasure in what was to come. Unbearably close, the massive creature lifted one paw and brought it forward, claws extended. Slowly, horribly and with great relish, it reaches out with little pinching motions, preparing to grab and wiggle each one of your adorable little paw toes...

I wish we could chat more often, as from what I remember from meeting you in Anime Boston, you were a really great person :3
