Dream Catchers are versatile dream-born creatures that assist those in a dream state by defending them from night terrors.
They are shapeshifters whose main traits are altered based on their "owner's" spirit animal(some may be scaled, feathered, have extra limbs, etc.). They are able to take a form that looks like said spirit animal as well.
If a dream catcher travels into the waking world, they will often have a disguise of some kind. This COULD be human, but more times than not they are their spirit animal.
PHYSICAL TRAITS
Most Dream Catchers share the following features:
Their front legs have strong hooves, while their back legs have large feet with long, sharp claws.
They usually have a thick mane, back fur, and a thickly furred tail(although sometimes they can be tailless.)
Almost always have body paint
Rare Traits:
No mane/tail fur
Fewer/More than four limbs
No Body Paint
COLOR
Their coloration varies vastly; they can be white, any shade of gray, black, brown, tan, or any combination of the mentioned colors.
Their manes can be any of those colors, and are usually darker than the body coat.
Dream Catcher's eyes can be any color, although they are normally dull in their normal form and extremely bright in their animal form.
They always wear body paint that either compliments their eye color, or is the same as it.
