Getting a little bit controversial in the Sonic fandom aren't I? huehuehuehuehue

Though seriously, I can't stand Akai. Her personality is rude and similar to PrincessElizabeth013 with her, "You need to draw my OC perfect or you suck." It's extremely ridiculous and I hate it. Be fucking grateful. That and I never liked her art style. Sonic has a triangle, dorito chip head and Akai has these long as fuck legs and broken ankles in every picture. Her shading seems lazy and it just makes me angry when people think she's hot shit. Her OC is a long haired, red Amy with tits. At least Amy has personality besides, "love me sonikku look at my boobs or i'll cry".

So I want to start redesigning bad, popular Sonic OC's because, it's fun to mold something that was once crap, into something better. So I started with her because, she's the most well known Mary-Sue in the Sonic fandom besides Becky or Venus.



What I changed

Looks

- Changed her name. AffectionateSteel thought of the name Aoi, which means, "red princess" and her last name, Hawthorn, gives a intimidating feel to it and that's how her personality is supposed to be.
- Since Akai has started drawing Akai's "quills" wavy, like hair, I used that and gave her long wavy hair. She doesn't have quills and is a quill-less hedgehog.
- I took the neon as hell red that she colors Akai with and added a bit of orange to it to make it more appealing and, well, easy on the eyes.
- I made her eyes gold mainly because, having green eyes on a Sonic OC is a bit unoriginal. It can be used well but, the way she does it is just, again, unoriginal. Gold goes with the red better and really pops more then the green.
- I gave her red arms instead of the tan ones, again, for originality purposes. Not saying you can't have those arms, I mean hell, Isabella has them, but the way she does just screams, "I want to be Amy."
- Outfit was completely redesigned. I gave her a more "steampunk" style look in some places because, it looked nice on the OC. I used some of the purples she used. I will give credit where credit is due, red and purple compliment each other and it looked nice. Some of her outfit changes were sort of based on the "Sonic Boom" design she tried to give Akai. Just less slutty.
- I still kept the big breasts because, lets face it, this is a porn character. I can't take her seriously with all the slutty art Akai draws of her. But, I made her respectable and covered.

Personality

- It's not really "changes" when Akai had no personality to begin with so, this is added personality.
- Akai is now very tsundere, or a person who is initially cold and even hostile towards another person before gradually showing their warm side over time.
- She is a fighter and has a, "act first, ask questions later" attitude.
- She was trained by expert fighters so, she could help fight with Freedom Fighters. Sort of pushing her way into the organization and not getting authorization from anyone to join.
- She thinks Sonic is annoying and hates his arrogance. Mainly added this because, pairing an OC with Sonic is most bland thing you can do other then pairing it with Shadow.
- She is Bi-Curious and has a bit of a crush on Amy.



Now before someone whiteknights me and tries to defend her, I just want to say, I don't care.
This was done for my own fun. If you wanna show Akai, go ahead. I'm just not taking this down. I'm not stealing if I'm giving credit to the owner for the thing.
