I didn't fall off the face of the earth! There has just been a lot going on. We've had a rough winter season. I'm trying to slowly get back into drawing, it's been therapeutic and helping to lift my spirits thinking about the future :) plus a few friends from highschool had babies last month, so I suppose you could say I'm feeling a little inspired <3
I recently found out the song "Closing Time" by Semisonic, which I've heard countless times, was not , in fact about being bounced out of a bar.. It was about the singer's son being born. After that, I'll never think of the song the same way. I've always loved the song, and now even more <3
So here's something I can see myself doing in the future, when the time comes for our little one to make their entrance into the world. <3
"Closing time,
Open all the doors and let you out into the world.
Closing time,
Turn all the lights on over every boy and every girl.
Closing time,
One last call for alcohol, so finish your whiskey or beer.
Closing time,
You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
Take me home~
Closing time,
Time for you to go out to the places you will be from.
Closing time,
This room won't be open 'till your brothers or your sisters come.
So gather up your jackets, move it to the exits, I hope you have found a friend.
Closing time,
Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
Closing time,
Time for you to go out to the places you will be from.
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
Take me home~
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
Take me home~
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
I know who I want to take me home
Take me home~
Closing time,
Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end."

Awww, thanks Gnash!!! I missed drawing and the community! :3
Also- here's how I found out about the song! Really cool, the singer explains while singing the song :) (video is in the blog post) http://groundedparents.com/2015/01/.....f-a-night-out/

I will say that I drew a picture inspired by this one. It's one of my OC's, Tickety-Boo, a lovely tuxedo cat, singing I Will Wait for You by Connie Francis to her unborn twins. I thought it was beautiful. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20420363/
