NOTE: The events described here happen WAY BEFORE the A new titan arc (only two days after the end of the Reconstruction arc).
Today, in Perpignan, L'Indépendant had an article in the International section:
"THE SCYTHE RUNNERS FINALLY LOSE!!"
"An article by our special reporter Yeshua Christon."
"The Scythe Runners, one of the most infamous criminal organizations in the world, finally met their first defeat in the town of Oakland, California."
"The Runners are known for their extremely violent and excessive methods, but this group reached monstrous heights here by blowing up one of the bridges making the Bay Bridge with the intent of sending a bank convoy plummeting in the sea, so they could take the money while every one else would be busy countering the disaster and all the victims."
"But the plan was foiled by one man."
"A rhino who has nothing to envy to Hulk in size and strength and who, according to the people I could interrogate, has been acting in Oakland for months already."
"Nicknamed Shift, he managed, when the bridge blew, to save any vehicle that was in danger of falling to their death (Thankfully, the blown up part was empty at the moment of the explosion), allowing the rescue services to block the bridge to others, and the police to search and find the Scythe Runners."
"Once it was confirmed that the death toll was zero, and that the wounded were out of danger, the police barely prevented Shift from tearing apart the Runners. They still sustained heavy wounds that sent them at the hospital."
"OAKLAND IS MY CITY, YOU HEAR ME?! YOU FUCK WITH IT, YOU FUCK WITH ME!!"
"While Shift refused an interview, he accepted to explain why he reacted so violently."
"I only have been doing this for a few months, and the worst I had to face was a bank stick-up with guys who had some firepower. This, this was a thousand times worse. I perfectly knew that I could save everyone, but I also knew that the slightest mistake from me would be the death warrant of someone else. All this time, I was terrified at the idea. And like everyone else, I was shocked by the attack. So when I saw these bastards held up by the cops, and heard that they did this for money... I snapped."
"A silence."
"But I don't regret it, and I still mean what I said."
"Even though the material damages are horrifically high, and a violent blow to the region's legacy, the worst has thankfully been avoided, and the aura of invincibility of the Scythe Runners has been shattered, thanks to a man who truly and fully deserves the title of "Superhero"."
In the redaction, everyone was enraptured by the article.

And that, my friends, is why you don't mess with Oakland: Hell hath no fury in front of Frontsek's anger. The people were fortunate sir Frontsek was around; I shudder to think how things could have gone, otherwise.
I wonder, is there any chance sir Julius read the article on a business trip? Or will he first hear the story from sir Frontsek himself?
And now, Raziel is also getting in the swing of things; can't wait to see what the cocky reporter has in his plans!
(By the way, you were in luck to get art from captaingerbear; his art style is great for these guys!)
Nice little story, once again; getting some insight on sir Frontsek's outlook is always nice!

Indeed! This event is the final step of Frontsek's journey from indirect hero (acting first and foremost for his own fun) to true hero, hence the title.
And yeah. Touch this town, and you'll have Shift (or worse, the Titan!) on your ass!
L'indépendant is a FRENCH newspaper, if it mentions that event, you can be sure every info service in the USA does too! So Julius learnt about it very quickly, and called with panic Frontsek for details and making sure he's okay.
Yeah, Raziel enters the stage. We will finally know his secret and his backstory!
Again, thanks for all the compliments, man!
PS: First part of the Pokeverse's first story soon!

I can now imagine sir Julius' frantic dialing, as he wants to call sir Frontsek. It's kind of great, in an adorable way.
I'm excited to see what Raziel will bring to the stage. Reporters can make for some rather interesting circumstances.
And you are welcome, sir!
Response to PS: If you will pardon the cliche, the hype is so real!
