When they were under my 'control' so to speak, they were used to harness the powers from other realms, but now people do with them as they see fit.
Technically they don't see with them, as a normal eye, but some people draw them with their normal eyes closed (bad idea, they would trip over everything!).
Basically they're technically used to see into other realms and see lifeforces etc etc. Longwinded answer but it's a bit tricky to reply on behalf of the others now they can do what they want with them haha. Thanks for the question :D
