It's in Second Life, a social type of Virtual World mainly made with user content. It came out in 2003 and it's been gradually improved over the years. The stock viewer is pretty much awful but their are 3 party viewers (clients) that have tons of extended features to improve the in-world viewing. It has a huge furry community in it. There are clubs and all sorts of things. It's like a virtual furry convention everyday on some SIMs. SIMs are plots of land in the virtual world. If you want to know just how big it is here is the map of the world;

As of 2010 there was 21.3 million registered accounts, but the reality than on most give days there is about 35,000 users logged in max, sometimes it's higher other times lower depending on the time of day. It's not a game, there is no leveling or anything like that its just a 3D virtual world for people to socialize in. It has its own currency and stock-market where it can be traded for real USD. It's free, with lots of free stuff but like anything the good stuff is uploaded by the users and it costs money for them to do so, so they in-turn want money (the in game currency) for their product.
