The bartender obeyed, scared.
But even with the beer, Shift felt crushed. Three days. It's been three days since Julius ran from this room. And he didn't come back, he didn't even try to contact the rhino.
And Shift didn't dare to try and look for him. The flight was a clear answer after all.
Not even a stint as the Titan, or his bouncing job as Shift managed to cheer him up...
As he drank again, the bar's karaoke announcer (it was karaoke night tonight) announced that someone was about to sing three songs. Shift didn't give a damn and emptied his bottle.
He started lifting the hand to get another one...

Julius tried to add some words, to say something, anything, but he couldn't.
Again, his throat hurt too much, his vision was blurry, and he felt something wet on his face.
But he still saw Shift turn his back to him.
"Fr... Shift... I'm so sorry..." eventually managed to articulate the boar. "Can you forgive me? Can you give me a chance?"
A long silence followed as the rhino kept his back turned.
Then his voice elevated in a weak, singing tone.

Wise men say... Only fools rush in...

Shift finally turned again towards Julius. With, on his face, tears and the biggest smile of his life.

But I can't help... Falling in lo...

His voice cracked and he gulped to ease it.
And as he opened his mouth again, Julius did the same, and their voiced blended in harmony...
