There was a picture by Charlie that was a stereotypical Muslim figure holding the Quran in front of them while getting shot, the bullets going through the book and killing them. It was captioned with "The Quran is shit, it can't stop bullets" or something along that line. A french youth posted to facebook a picture made with the same content but with the magazine instead of the Quran and what I presume was Charlie instead of the Muslim figure and with the caption similar switched around claiming it was satire. He ended up in Jail over it.

And at the time that the Satire magazine was posting that cover, there were violent riots in egypt where muslims were gunned down by the police...or military, i am unsure.

i hope this is satire aswell..

Time to abandon this movement.

Satire should be allowed on all sides, what is the point of being a champion of freedom if you punish people for what they say.
