When they're a little closer together, try sitting in the middle so that their butts support the back of your ribs on both sides of your spine. Highly recommended.

We have one dog in our house, and he is a third the size of either of your adorable doggies, and he regularly manages to edge me, a 200-pound adult human, off a couch literally three times that size.

I'm guessing you stand no chance against those two.
