Evil Cheshire & Innocent Alice
Soooo, yeah, I've had weird thoughts concerning Alice and the cheshire cat from that oh so lovely story, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. And my mind has spawned this interesting and colorful fan-piece ^^
When browsing around for same pairings, I've only seen one and it was sweet and romantic. I'm sorry, but when I think about the REAL darkness behind Alice & Wonderland, the last thing this relationship is gonna be is sweet. If anything, I would more or less see Cheshire Cat and Alice being a love/hate relationship with mind games and tricks (somewhat reminds me of Alucard and Integra from Hellsing XD)
Yaaaay, color piece and I'm sooooooo happy how colorful Alice turned out. Sure, her face looks a little off, but I just how her dress turned out ^^ And Cheshire @___@ AH! I love how evil he turned out. Squeeee! <3 Just so happy all around. I also decided to not draw Cheshire's full body because after all, turning invisible was his favorite game ;P

You know what? I'm surprised that no one really thought of this one yet, honestly enough speaking.
In the Alice and Wonderland book, the Chesire cat was...more or less to subtly torment and annoy Alice. So it wouldn't come as any major surprise within this picture that the cat would be acting this way towards a confused Alice.
...besides, you already won me over at having a theme for my third favorite book. (The second is Little Prince, the first is
Great Gatsby, but not going into that.)
Ah..how you colored in and drew the Cheshire cat. I'll immediately applaud that as only7 he can pull of those stripes of lavender and fuchsia (I hate saying pink and purple..) and happen to get away with it just for being him. Yes, he has that evil smile that's quite literally a trademark of his and the obligatory fade out he tended to do while explaining things that made sense to make no sense. Well you indeed do have him down perfectly drawn to fit the character!
Oh and poor Alice..I'll say this- you kept the hair of hers as shiny as a shimmering fountain of gold (I'm certain that was stated somewhere in the book by comparison) But in short, the hair sheen is meant to be overdone. And that's a beautiful thing to me~
The dress, well now that's a classic. I know it looks like the Anne of Green Gables/ old maids dress, but you have it drawn in beautifully here. And that's saying something as people...don't wear dresses like that anymore. The facial espression of hers I like as it's embarrassed yet confused there (As she's supposed to look normally)
I think it would go without saying that while taking an old classic story, you'd done well with an...unusual concept that CAN happen too there. Nice work here Chao chan~!
