I've been playing around with hair on a model for this weekend. I don't have anything promising to show for it (yet) but I think I'm starting to get the process down. This is just a WIP proof of concept that I'm making headway. I still need to give the hair more depth and volume but all I've done in the view port is test the textures (using Viewport 2.0) which has produced some promising results. The hair currently is just one flat plane but if I put in enough work it will be a working scalp on a character I'm working on- hair color in this render is no coincidence. Once I get that hammered out I'll be in business to finish up some of the pesky parts of the fur pipeline I've been meaning to put into practical use.

We'll see how well that pans out. Until I get things moving farther along than they are now I'm going to hold off posting the wips of the character I have on my table; mostly because its A) a commission and B) I haven't been working on it as quickly/much as I'd like so its been slow and going for the past month or two.

Things are looking up though!

edit: been so long since I submited anythign that I forgot to downscale the resolution... opps. fixed now.

also I've had this process in my tool bag for a while but I haven't used it in a few years. getting back in the swing of things some times takes time. also Lazy Nezumi + photoshop is awsome.
