An idea I had floating in my head for awhile now, this is a diagram of expansions to Sound Transit's commuter rail lines. After living in Chicago, which has Metra to provide regional commuter rail service, it seems only natural that my other home, Seattle, should have a similar system, running at most times plus weekends, like Metra does, and not just peak hours. Except for a couple brief sections, this system would be all on existing rail lines, and the section from Lakewood to Everett via Seattle is already running. The lines from Seatac to Snohomish via Bellevue and from UW Bothell to Bear Creek are under review for funding. I have taken the liberty of adding several new stops to existing lines as a way to provide more service in underserved or developing areas. Annd it's a little sloppy, not exactly up to rail doagram standard (uniform angles, thickness of lines, etc) but meh.

It takes a Technical mindset to mostly think of stuff like this. I think of weirder stuff all the time, I just lack the supply's and talent to put it out on paper. Give me blueprints, 1 square foot (adjust amount of material for size of part) of any metal, plastic, or Teflon, a Bridgeport Mill and a few hours, and I'll give you any part for anything you could ever ask.
