Hadn't drawn ol' foxy boy in AGES; here I am trying to get his 'feel' again. In this little simple sketch was just of him looking upward slightly; a profile I normally catch HELL in drawing.
I changed his ears (dogs have that little indent on the base of their ears), darken his eyelid rims, eyes are smaller and cheek ruffles aren't as cartoony.
Alas, no matter how hard I try I just have a cartoony style!

into which direction do you want to change your style? I don't know if heavy referencing from photos would help; it doesn't do much for me anyway. but your current style might be inspired by disney,. but still looks unique enough for me.

I guess in the opening music with the rear shot of Zazu in flight, in reality he was being chased by a pissed dragon who was angry no one is celebrating the hatching of his seven hundred eggs...
The werewolf however was in the shadows when Simba made the infamous fall on the hill that allegedly spelled 'Sex', 'Sfex' or whatever when really it spelled 'AWOOOOO!' and if you look REALLY hard, there's a werewolf in the bushes laughing his tail off!
