The two continue walking deeper into the forest where Ronno plans on keeping his royal hostage. So far they have been able to avoid being seeing by any of the forest animals. Suddenly Ronno stops them both. The two look into the distance and see a tall figure walking toward them. Ronno quickly moves Bambi behind a large tree and waits. The two hear the footsteps of whoever it is walking by them. They risked taking a peek out and are surprised to see The Great Prince of the Forest himself. Ronno immediately held Bambi by the neck.

Ronno: (whispering) Bambi, I swear, if you do anything to get his attention, I will hurt you!

Bambi chooses to obey, but not because Ronno is threatening him. The truth is Bambi wants to be rescued by him. He knows Ronno is afraid of his father and can be easily defeated if the two get in a fight. However, Bambi feels that his father will be disappointed in him for being careless and getting himself captured by his rival. He is the New Prince after all, and should be more responsible. So he chooses to avoid being seen. Finally Great Prince passes without noticing them hiding, but the two sit and wait until he’s out of sight. Just to be sure, they wait a few more minutes. Finally Ronno gets Bambi back up, and rushes him into the thick and dark forest, and continue their journey into the forest.
