Well some villains just want to be understood. Which is good for heroes because flash back give them time to plan escape.

Sexy evil bunny, and so misguided when she could be working to displace her supposed Daddy and steal his thunder by being better as Easter Bunny than he ever has been.

World conquest is "overdone" and most who attempt it don't really understand what they're getting themselves into. Greed can only go so far. Power... well, that goes back to world conquest.

But revenge can carry you throughout a long career. You've been injured? Get back at them. Stolen from? Get back at them. Had your heart broken? Get back at them. Interrupted? Get back at them. They wouldn't take off that big hat in the theater? Get back at them. Smoking in the no smoking section? Get back at them. Cut off in rush hour traffic? Get back at them. Short changed? Get back at them. I will not be thwarted! All those petty fools who got in my way will be swept aside like... *ahem* Sorry.
