This story was actually in the works for months. Originally I wanted to make a series of images based on each part of the story, but with how my life is right now I don't have time to make all of that stuff. Maybe later I will illustrate some scenes.
Anyways.
Khalkeus.
A story from the other point of view, from the big bad mega corporation that is NHI. This story follows a pilot by the name of Logan Friday and his two comrades, Sarn and Gwymer, as they investigate a facility that has gone dark. But for a corporation on the edges of civilized space, silence of this nature is rarely a natural thing.
A star fighter story that was inspired by so many things that I am not sure I can even name them.
Featuring an appearance from
F_Raccoon's Jeanne Reiner
The Kryoptian race which was created by
LoquaciousJango
Skinks, or an off shoot of them, created by
Sharpt00th
And I would like to thank
Barrel-o-TF and
F_Raccoon for helping me with some feedback on this story a while back.

That was...just a little bit heart breaking. This is definitely a story about a struggle against anonymity. The constant fight to hold on to a face and a voice even when wrapped in metal or reduced to a number on a roster.
The fight was awesome, the right amount of pacing and technobabble thrown together to keep things interesting, and what happened to Sark really amped up the tension. There were some fabulous POV moments and the whole thing was an absolute ton of fun.
You write just as well as you draw, and this little snapshot tale from your universe painted a great picture.
Also: AAAAGH, that picture looks awesome, but it's so tiny!

This is definitely not a very happy story, no. It deals with a lot of stuff, none of it too pleasant I think.
I am glad that the stuff really came together here. I had some hesitations about writing out a scene that involved a space battle actually, but I think by keeping the narrative so close to Friday I managed to get what I wanted done.
Aaand yup, I posted the full thumbnail cause I saw your comment here, heh.
Thanks yet again for the feedback here, and thank you for reading.

It was nice to see the usually nameless drones get their share of drama and emotion instead of being... Well, disposable corporation drones. Neat seeing some stuff of mine in there as well, even if this time they happen to be on the opposing side, heh... It's all a matter of perspective really, and I liked the melancholy ending. Great job man!
I like the idea that there are so many shades of gray in the world... I mean, these corporate drones are just trying to make a living after all, right? Plus it makes for interesting work, reversing the sides of who is the protagonist and antagonists. Thank you again for reading!
Wonderful piece of work here. The story definitely sends ya through quite the gamut of different emotions. Couldn't help but want to read what was gonna happen next, all the way up to that tragic unfortunate end. Definitely got my sci-fi
space drama buzz going on with this one, it's great. Not sure what else to say, I'm not terribly good at literary critique; all I know is, I really liked this, so there ya go.
Also favorite'd the standalone picture cause this story deserves more than one fav. Keep on writin this cool stuff, maaaan.

This really does mean a lot to me, so much work went into this and I am very glad to hear that you were enthralled with the story. Thank you for reading it! I know it was kind of long, but I hope it all played out in a way that worked, and I guess it sounds like it did. Thanks man!
