I first found
fauxlacine when I stumbled across their (mature-rated) A Scent of Roses comic, and instantly fell in love with their story-telling style. It's meaningful, deep, and got those parallels between anthropomorphic animals and real-life people and problems that I feel like is super rare in the fandom nowadays; AAAH I just dig it so much! And they are so brave for putting all their bold ideas out there! X'D
I've never been so intrigued and surprised by a world and plot in the Furry Fandom, and the comic beckoned me to continue on to reading their (mature-rated) novella series that follows A Scent of Roses, Dog Eat Dog.
Thanks to
Sofia.exe, several of my friends and I got to meet fauxlacine and their partner in real life last weekend. They are SO wonderful and so inspiring in so many different ways to me; and then out of the blue, Fauxlacine surprises me with this lovely gift art of Nyxis! Aaah, it's too much! Thank you so much for the fun and the memories; I learn a lot from watching you work and plan to follow your creations for many years to come. ^^
