A simple idea for smash up crossover between Terminator & MLP series. Nothing special.
Idea goes like this:
The Resistance group break in one of The Skynet's Time Machine research facilities. There they face earlier prototype of T-1000. Group get slaughtered by T-1000, who is on mission to travel back in the past to kill Young John Connor. Young technician engineer member survived from T-1000's massacre and sabotage a Time Machine to go overload. Stealing also codes from Time Machines, from revert T-1000 for using Time machine. Time machine goes wild and transport Skynet's facility with T-1000 & young engineer into a unknown world.
There Engineer makes his escape from facility. ( only finding himself being turned into a foal for no good reason. )
Being cut off from Skynet's hive mind and telling to do otherwise, T-1000 follow his main priority objective by getting those stoled codes back to time machine, to complete his mission. T-1000 active all remain Terminators ( t-600s, t-700s & newly upgraded t-800 ) to hunt down runaway human and bring back the codes.
Equestria is about collision course with The Machines. Technology VS. Magic.
Sadly there isn't T-800 fanfiction yet done.

So many "why and how" questions are going through my mind when looking at this concept~
One thing is for sure, it would be a hilarious one-sided bloodbath. Lets face it, there is not a lot of ponies that could dodge/deflect bullets. And the solution of the problem would just put the unicorns and alicorns into a state of extreme depression that they could save so many lives if they would just think up that simply teleporting (Twilight and other alicorns can do that spell with a hoof up their ass) all the Terminators into lava pools destroys them instantly.

Idea is about small of Terminator squad released on Equestria. Having Human Engineer on ponies side, who can reprogram Terminator for fight for them. Or making a home-made Pipe-bombs, what Kyle Reese used in First Terminator movie. So against T-600 & T-700 gonna be simple fight, since they aren't quite well protected. ( in Terminator: Salvation crushing them with heavy stuff or hitting with a screwdriver at them neck. ) As long you don't get shot by them.
While T-800 gonna be more difficult to deal with. Unless you stunning T-800 with lightning bolt or magic and reproramming it for fighting against The Terminators.
T-1000 gonna be the most dangerous foe to deal with. You can't destroy it with a bombs or any magic spells. It just keep coming at you and can hide to be one of your allies. Unless you can teleport him into The sun to destroy it.
While T-800 gonna be more difficult to deal with. Unless you stunning T-800 with lightning bolt or magic and reproramming it for fighting against The Terminators.

I dont think pyrotechnics is a developed science branch in Equestria so it does make me wonder from what they would do those pipe-bombs. And while the early models would be not excessivly hard to destroy, still the ponies would be taken by surprise (never seen creatures and automatons) and a lot would perish in the initial conflict. I do imagine "Hi! My name is Pinkie Pie, want to be frie*BANG*!" >xD
Teleporting it to the sun... I do think that only Celestia would be able to do that and firstly I though about jamming T-1000 into her ass, because you know... mark on flank xD

Make sense I guess. Mostly I was thinking human's chance to defend himself against Terminator when he is alone. ( Because not magic user, you know. ) But yeah make sense if you had become a pony. ( No fingers. ) You can't ignite your pipe-bomb without a unicorn igniting bomb for you and levitate it next at Terminator.
Pinkie Pie should really, REALLY stop making friends with a strange creatures~
I think T-1000 would wound Celestia with his liquid metal blades, but she is getting away. Taking Celestia's form and lure Twilight for him. Stab her with his metal finger and force her to call our hero to come for him.
I wonder how Chase scenes looks like. T-1000 reveal himself in his original form. ( Robert Patrick ) Running high speed after The train and a unicorn blasting at him with magic, slowing him down abit but he keep coming.

Or just find explosive materials to construct one in the first place (watched MLP only to end of seson 2, so I dont know if they introduced TNT in later episodes)~
I cant imagine the ammount of "what the fuck" I would say out loud if I ever found a scene like that while switching the channels xD
