I think it's clear that we're talking at cross-purposes. I am puzzled by your statements and interested in elucidating them. On the other hand, you seem to think I'm saying things that shouldn't be said. Even after considering that opinion from a few different possible viewpoints, I'm still unable to see why you feel that way.

I think this conversation will be better for both of us if we drop it and discuss kittens instead. :)

Personally, I think it would be far more demeaning to people of faith to imply that the authority the self styled instruments of god work under comes from anywhere other than their own tortured imaginations. They bring far more shame and disrespect to their faiths than any cartoon could possibly manage.
