The next line of art for these two I wanted to try some different things. First I tried to get some of the outside of the Jewel Vixen's head quarters: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9186644/
Could have been better, but it's certainly not bad. Next up was the motorcycle; I actually copied a model of one from 1972 (Since it's when the series takes place). The reason it doesn't look exactly one is because well... you find out in the story that goes with this. Lastly I did a back side of Topaz which I love. And here is the story.
X
Topaz let out a sigh of peace as she and the rest of the Jewel Vixens made it back after their last mission. It had been harder then the one from New York. And yes there had been some bad moments and some good. But at least Topaz was a bit more confident when it came to her skills. They had been even more useful for that one.
The vixen thoughts then went back to Nicholas. He had been told by her on the phone that she had been going on a trip. It pained Topaz that she had lied to him about visiting family. But the vixen knew that Nicholas could never know about the work she really did. Just like Ruby never told her fiancé what she really did.
The eight made it to their head quarters ready to relax before their next big job. They had earned it again. Then a bit latter Topaz was in her room when the phone in it rang. Skipping across the floor she answered. "Hello?"
"I see you're back in town," went the voice of Nicholas.
"Like, Hiii!" exclaimed the vixen. "Omigosh Nicholas! Like how are you? And like how did you know I was back?" She could also feel the slight blush on her cheeks and that her heart was going a bit faster at the sound of his voice. Topaz could hear him chuckling.
"Simple, a little bird told me. Nah, in all seriousness, I saw you drive back on my way to the store. I take it the other seven with you were the other Jewel Vixens?"
"Yes, they were."
"I suppose if we keep meeting like this eventually I'll meet them. In any case I called because I think we need to do some catch up. What works for you? I'm sure you'd like a day to rest after your trip."
"I can see you tomorrow," replied Topaz.
"Great! I'll come pick you up if that's fine. So where do you live?" The vixen gave him directions and they arranged a time. She then hung and let out a happy sigh.
"So I take it that was that guy you've been seeing," went a voice. Topaz let out a yelp and jumped a foot in the air. She whipped her head around to see Sapphire standing in her doorway.
"Sapphire!" exclaimed the blond hair vixen. "Like how long have you been standing there?!"
"The whole time," answered the white furred vixen. "You forgot to close the door. We need to talk a bit." Topaz looked to her leader with weary eyes. "It's about this guy you're meeting. I hope you know not to say what you really do. But there's the more important issue of you telling him where we live."
"But remember Famiglietti from New York?" asked Topaz. "Emerald invited him here and you like didn't have any objections."
"That was different," replied Sapphire. "But my point is that you need to be careful."
"I so will!" answered the other vixen. "I won't say a word about what I do, and he's just coming to pick me up is all! He like won't set a single foot in here! I promise!" The older female looked and could see in the younger's eyes she really wanted to go through with this.
"Alright," commented Sapphire. "I'll allow this against my better judgement." Her eyes then softened. "You really like this guy, don't you?"
Topaz tried her best to hide the extreme blush that came onto her muzzle, but failed. "I-um..." she responded. "Like, maybe..."
"I really think that's is great that you have," said the older vixen. "Just keep in mind with what I said." She then left the room.
The next day Topaz was excited to see Nicholas again. When arranging this, he had told her to wear something sturdy like leather and things like that. The vulpine also said not to wear platform shoes, but regular ones as well to be on the safe side. The vixen wondered why, but chose her usual outfit when going out, minus the shoes she usually wore. The rest of the Jewel Vixens couldn't help but notice her change in mood who weren't in on this.
"Okay, what's has got you so excited?" asked Jade to Topaz. Before the vixen could answer, the doorbell sounded.
"EEEE! He's here!" shouted the blond vixen and took off. Jade swore she could see a dust cloud left behind. Nicholas in the meantime was standing outside the door. It suddenly burst opened and the next thing he knew, Topaz was in his arms, with hers around him.
"Omigosh, Nicholas!" she exclaimed. The vulpine let out a chuckle.
"Hey Topaz, it's good to see you again." They then broke off their hug. He was able to get a good look at her. As usual she looked beyond amazing. The vixen got a look at him as well. A black leather riding vest, a white shirt underneath that, and blue jeans made up his outfit. Both didn't realize that the rest of the Jewel Vixens were looking around a corner to see this guy.
"So then, let's get going," he said. The two walked away.
"He's so cool and handsome looking!" whispered Jade.
"How did Topaz do it?" asked Aquamarine. The others made no comment.
The two foxes in the meantime walked a bit down the steps. "I know you want to ask me how I've been, but that will have to wait," said Nicholas. Topaz closed her mouth. Suddenly she found that he had gotten behind her and covered her eyes with his paws.
"Nicholas!" replied the vixen with a laugh. "Like what are you doing?"
"Sorry, but I want to surprise you," he whispered into her ear. "It's the ride I came on."
"Ooh, so exciting," Topaz responded as he lead her forward. "So like what is it? A car?"
"I do have one, but I didn't bring it today. Try again."
"A truck?"
"Nope."
"A... van?"
"That's strike three. Besides, do I look like a parent with kits?"
"Oh just like tell me!" went Topaz playfully. He then stopped her.
"Keep your eyes closed." She did so as his paws came off of her head. After a few moments he spoke. "Now look."
The vixen did and what she saw left her speechless. It was a motorcycle, but not like one she had seen before. "Ever been on one of these?" asked Nicholas. His right paw was on a black colored helmet. The vulpine could also see the somewhat unsure look from Topaz; the one thing he was afraid of. But then she stepped forward and touched it with her right paw, telling herself that she could trust Nicholas would keep her safe.
"No," responded Topaz. "But there is a first time for everything!" He suddenly handed her a helmet as well. This one was different in color; ones that she preferred.
"You might want this," he stated.
A few minutes latter the two were ridding down the road. Topaz was laughing and having the time of her life. Nicholas was also grinning as well. He loved that he had made the right choice. To feel how her arms were wrapped around his muscled chest and held herself up against him the entire time. Sure, anyone else would have done it. But this wasn't just anyone else. This was Topaz; A simply beatiful vixen he had managed to become friends with in such a short amount of time.
They spent the time riding before stopping at a place to eat. "I like can't believe I haven't fallen off once!" Topaz said with a laugh.
"Well I can't let anything happen to you; I think there would be more than one person who'd be pissed at me if that were to happen," replied Nicholas. The two went in and talked. it was here that the vixen learned that the bike was one that had been tinkered around with so it looked different than a normal one. The two then went on to talk about other things. They only briefly talked about Topaz's trip since the vixen couldn't really get into that.
The two then left and contained to ride around the city. Eventually Nicholas dropped her off at her place. The vulpine walked her to the door. "Well, here we are," stated Nicholas.
"Yes," responded Topaz. "I had so much fun today with you." The vixen couldn't help but hug the vulpine who hugged her back. "And one more thing..." Nicholas felt her lips give him a kiss on the cheek. "That's my way of saying thanks." They both pulled back and could see how badly the other was blushing. The vixen then went inside. One paw went over her heart which was calling out to him.
"Sapphire was right," whispered Topaz. "I really like Nicholas..."
He in the meantime got back on the bike and took off. But his mind and heart was focused on the vixen. "I like her," he said out loud. "I really like Topaz..."
This would lead to something big for the two of them.

So there you have it. Btw, when I talked about that last mission it was the one from issue three so as to tie this with the plot line since the series is on hold. All credit for Topaz and the Jewel Vixens goes to: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/aelius/
