Chaotix: Tachy Touch NES mix
This one comes from the bonus stage in “Chaotix” A.K.A. “Knuckles’ Chaotix” or “Chaotix: Featuring Knuckles the Echidna.”
This is one of my favorite tunes from the game.
Another thing I like about this game is the mystery behind the “prototype.”
“Sonic Crackers” A.K.A. “Sonic Stadium” is believed to be the alpha version of “Chaotix.”

EDIT: I re-recorded the song with Sega style drum samples converted to NES DPCM format.

You’re defiantly not kidding! Chaotix rocked thanks to the 32X!
The only thing that puzzles me is the Sonic Crackers connection.
Were Sonic and Tails originally going to be playable in Chaotix, or was Sonic Crackers going to go in a different direction?
If you look at the “Rings” counter in Sonic Crackers, it reads “Rings 0/100."
Did that mean that you had to collect 100 rings to clear the stage? I guess we’ll never know!
