I think before it gets to far before any damage comes to the person, the people there and/or the building/property... my fursona or renomon would appear and use a spell to reverse the affects of the growth effects.
Then probably put a mark on the... 'victim', that will absorb the effects of the contains they had as well as the magic they used but it would take some time to not physically damage them... if that is not the case then it would be instant recovery.
