Quick color play and layout of Chu, he's one of the Amordon I've been messing with in doodles and finally have them fleshed out.
They're a species that spends a good deal of their time in water and a lot more time grooming. They also love to hold onto shiny objects and berries/treats in the two pouches on either side of their chests. The main trait that makes them sought after as pets is their ability to release endorphins, dopamine, oxytocin, etc, in the brain by touching their lips to another critter's head. Because of this they're known to bond with other creatures and make appealing pets.
Chu is a little male, you can tell by a horn on his forehead. He's increasingly curious and loves to hold onto a giant pearl in his pouch along with some treats he gets from trading his pearls with a village near the river. He loves children and enjoys their braiding and decorating his mane. He doesn't have any rare traits, he's just a simple happy little Amordon.
