Actually yes town pigeons might be regarded as verminous, but to typify all columbidae as 'sky rats' is the mark of an unthinking shitlord.

They get called rats because a lot get by on the mess we leave behind. Rats are wonderful creatures it's Humans that create the messy diseased conditions they live in. It just so happens not to be a problem for such intelligent scavengers. I love rats and pigeons. They have adapted to our modern way of life and help clean up after us. If we didn't create the perfect habitat for them they would be getting on just fine on their own as they have for thousands of years along with every other species. The real vermin are the humans.
