Thanks. If I'd been in the mood for more than sketchy sketchy it'd rock. Stalker: Clear Sky such a cool game. Assuming you're not intending to move, or look at anything. Then it's a little prone to falling over and going "Ahrg!"

I know the spot in the first one but if there is another guy doing it in Clear Sky. . . It needs to hurry up and come out in NA. Also, I've heard there have been several patches out since it came out a week or two ago.

There's been one patch on general release that installed a chronic memory leak. There's a 1.5.0.4 which the Russians have but which isn't out yet. Each patch invalidates your saved games.
There's also a .RAR file full of scripts you can use to get the game to run if you have the 1.5.0.3 patch installed.
It's buggy as an anthill.

Hmm, dang. I never had any issues really with the first STALKER aside from the occasional AI bug or something. Hopefully they'll have a decent patch out by the NA release.

Clear Sky isn't out here yet. Just as well, between the bugs and the DRM.

The first one was rubbish imo.

It's good fun and better balanced after applying the Oblivion Lost mod.

Man, STALKER is brilliant, as is this picture. I've got clear sky, but I can't install it for about a week :(.

You're not missing much. Clear Sky is severely buggy. As in the third patch is already out and from the list of fixes it's not going to address a LONG list of the stuff that's been reported. I had to uninstall it.

Buggy gameplay's never really bothered me. I loved the new Alone in the Dark to bits FFS. Three patches will probably leave it playable enough for my tastes.

Er... *really* buggy gameplay. Crashing to desktop if you try and pick up an artifact, get into a big gunfight, have a Radiation storm, run through radiation or get close to an anomaly... that sort of thing. And then of course there's the slight problem of some of the mission objectives: you come back with the goodies but the person who gave you the mission has "forgotten" and won't accept the item, or you have to take and hold an area... but you can't because an NPC of the right faction has to come and stand on the spot and none of them do.
That sort of "buggy". In fact the "Faction Wars" part seems wholly non operational. I suggest you go here:

I only got past the tunnels once, haven't made it back that far again yet, keep forgetting to save along the way and making rookie mistakes.

Ah you'll get it. BTW if you liked Stalker you'll like Fallout 3.
But you'll hate Stalker Clear Sky. It's so full of bugs it's literally un-playable.
