Specifically, a Great Egret, if I'm not mistaken. Unlike my usual subjects, what we have here is an actual bird, as opposed to a person pretending to a be a bird--I know the difference can be hard to spot at times. I had to displace him from a small promontory so I could get a better angle on a guy pretending to be a dog, but I took the chance to snap a photo first.
