Not annoying at all. :) I'm very excited and happy when people are interested in my stuff.
Tthe story takes place in the past, about 10,000 years ago during a time when ancient warfare would be powerful and massive enough to affect the entire planet. Feuding lords all ignored the warnings of gods, and greedily conquered one city after the next. Soon the gods conceded that the humans were beyond hope, and that their age was doomed. But before they accepted their own demise, they created infinity. Infinity represented the 8 powers who would successfully bring back the age of enlightenment. However it needed a vessel. The deities asked the animals for help but was turned down each time. Most were too bitter to bring back the beings who caused their lives so much misery. Some were quite torn, not knowing what action be better. But one animal answered a resounding yes, and when asked if it would be willing to face death, it replied "only if I was given 8 extra lives".
The story itself takes place in 8888 bc, when pretty much all of humankind has died off, the gods have disappeared, and the animals were back to prehistorical competition. It was during this time when the infinity would trigger and the felines would help bring back the age of enlightenment.
I've managed to weave a lot of mythology and even some ancient prehistorical events into the story. It's of course not an exact science, but if it wore we would really have reason to worship the cats like the egyptians. This btw, is also the "reason" why the egyptians were so cat crazy.
So I hoped to create something unique. Rather than have the run of the mill "animals are being killed off by humans... EVIL humans" we have the animals trying to save and bring back human kind without the preachy undertones, though I guess you can say in the end it "teaches" us to be kinder to animals.
Sorry this was long winded. ^_^;

That's incredible! I love when stories have themes that kind of match real history/give reasons for some of the mysteries in life.
I also like the twist. You're right, so many animal series focus on the evilness of humans, this is a definate change. Ah the noble feline. :)
Thanks for taking the time to write all that out! I really can't wait to see/read more!
