RAWR random wolf noming on random bunny =3
sooo iv been trying new things, something i dled ages ago and havnt botherd using properly till now is a program called ArtRage
pros:
you can get some very nice textures with the small range of tools as well as even moar option for each one(thinners, tilt angles, pressure-unessasary but w/e) you can choose different forms of canvas to draw/paint on, paper, rougher paper, traditional canvus etc (i didnt look too much into these but its pritty cool) the over all layout is stylish and handy, just rightclick and you hide all the toolbars and have the whole screen to use and if you draw near one of the bars, it hides itself till you lift the pen. ctrl Z seems to have no limit lol
cons:
limited brushes, there could be soo many other tools but most of brush is very hard to control if you want to jump between fine or thick lines, so you can really only have one or the other if your trying to be accurate, the paint based brushes thins out after a short while ie run out of paint(it would be ok but it did the same with the pencil WTF you can change this with the options) i find it rather annoying having to re-apply the pen only after a short stroke, its optional but still. it uses alot of processing power and it was lagging quite a bit when i use certin tools over most larger areas or used them fast. it froze twice in the 4 hours i was using it and i had to wait a while before the mouse could move again
ArtRage prides itself on being extremly realistic, wich it is... but the lack of control with half the brush tools make a pritty big cock block for me, these things are something i could work on if i do any moar pics but id rather paint/draw in rl if i wanted realism. except theres no ctrlz D: i started getting lazy towards the end (you could probably tell) lol
mite just be me, i kept comparing it to photoshop... i miss photoshop =(
