Me too, I think it will for fun and cute shapes~ I tend to draw whole inflation from time to time, by drawing all the body parts round--limbs, chest, belly, cheeks, rump, and...well, the tail too, but it always turns out poorly. I think I'm better at drawing fat critters than puffy ones, but it's fun to try. >w<
I think it all comes down to the fact that fat is much softer and malleable, so it doesn't exactly have a lot of solid form and just is easier to draw. Inflation is more solid and firm, and to get it to look good, you really gotta follow the form or else things look off, leaving less room for error.
