After such a pleasent time with her mother and father little Trance was tuckered out by the months end, and poor Vanilla having to enjoy her daughter's burst of energy with her Night Foal tuck in her belly. So after one last week of playing games with her father in the arcade down stairs running though snow drifts and making them pop with a air rune with her friends school started to loom. Yet the filly and mother cared not for what day came next as Vanilla snoozed restfully with her little Trance with her draping a wing on her sibling.
I hope every one has a good New Year and had a Merry Christmas, and to those returning to school I wish you luck in your endevors.

I can answer this, it's more an open relationship. I don't tie Vanilla down and I treat all of the children she has had or has in the future as though they were my own. After all, why should that change the way I feel? Especially as I know she has things that she must do, and I couldn't keep her from that just because of my emotions for her... and I know that they are returned.
So I guess the answer is yes, we are. Just open and free.
