Its a whole nother animal working with Black paper. I mean you have to work n reverse, starting from dark, and adding lights. as opposed to starting from lights, then adding darks. however, color pencils definitely come out better on black paper. I think its cause white is a reflection of all colors to your eyes off of a surface. Black is when no light is reflected, so be placing pencil on black, you dont have that white light reflecting back along with the color you place down, so you get a purer color as a result....
