The world of Ceal is a fantastic place, full of fascinating creatures, most of which have a tail.
It is also a world destined for conflict, as the eight different sentient species of Ceal repeatedly clash with one another all over the world. There are friends and alliances, but also bitter foes. And even though the everlasting conflict between the four Novean species has continued for almost a thousand years, there are also havens of peace in this world.

The continents of Ceal
Pelagia
One of the home continents of the four Novean species. An arid land full of steppes and savannahs. It's a harsh place, but hard places breeed harsh people. To the northeast of the continent grows the giant tree Gand'Shirar, and in its shade the flourishing capital of the Kingdom of Aidenous.
The Jel-Archipelago
A sacred land to the Novean species, consisting of Jelkyera - a continent featuring lush forests, sprawling plains, high mountains, and some steppes to the south - Jeljelra - a continent guarded by high cliffs, covered almost entirely in primal forest with huge redwood trees - and the Jelkekeyra Islands - a thousand small islands sprawling the sea between Jelkyera and Jeljelra. Civilization is forbidden in this sacred land, though remnants of an older civilization can still be found. Rangers and pilgrims of the novean faith often visit this sacred place.
Zelsia
An artificial continent created by the Wel during the bloom of their Iserial civilization. The Novean species consider this land demonic and cursed. It consists of a ring of grassland, followed by a ring of forest, and finally, a mountain range at its center. No one lives in this place (or do they?).
Rida
The cradle of the Novean species. It has steppes, grassland, moutnains, deserts, and rainforests. The three major cities are the crafter's city of Selim on the southwestern grasslands, the crusaders' citadel city of Fienyn in the central steppes, and the wealthy trade city of Kekeyro on the northern Fjord.
Ventana
Home to the Dragons and Draykin, this place is and has always been a haven of peace throughout the history of Ceal. In this place alone, all the species of Ceal seem to get along with one another. It is covered mostly by rainforest and swamps, and its inhabitants live in unison with nature.
Zodiac Isles
Deep in the Yaeresic Ocean lie the Zodiac Isles. Far away from any trade routes, these remain a primitive and primal place. Though, if one were in need of a place to hide something, this might be the ideal place...
Eknara
Homeland of the Gryphs. This craggy continent consists almost entirely of mountains. Towering peaks, narrow valeys, deep chasms, dark caves, sizzling volcanoes, and a myriad of islands around its coats give this land its charactersitic appearance.
Ultros
The refuge of the Wel. After the great Novean war, the Wel retreated to this most remote continent. Surrounded on all sides by high mountains, this cold continent is a natural fortress. Most of it is covered by taiga and tundra, with only a few warmer regions to the north. Rumor has it that the Wel have constructed a portal that leads to another world at the exact south pole, though off course no sane person would belief such an obvious fairy tale.
Asuar Ridge
A chain of rather big islands separating the Yaeresic Ocean from the Zural Ocean. However, most of the islands are rather dry, the soil mostly clay and rock, making it hostile to civilization. Trade ships from Ventana often follow the ridge when traveling to Ultros.
