Yet another commission from RelaxingDragon of a movie, this time, a scene instead of the cover. I have to say, I really dug the scene. Now I need to see the movie to see what exactly I illustrated. xD

It's a very powerful movie but I liked the book just a little bit more. Biggest difference in my opinion? In the movie the women stop being able to have children because something is wrong with them but in the book the guys sperm stops being able to fertilize the eggs.
=O
It's deep.
Oh and this picture is good too.
Also, since no one has exactly come out and said it, the scene takes place in an elementry school I believe in a future where no can be had. I THINK (it's been a long time) the person in the swing is carrying the last child on earth, which he is trying to get to safty... man it has been awhile for me.
The only critique I will drop (and you'll learn this is school soon enough) is when making a 'scene' try to unify it by placing all colors through the whole thing so nothing sticks out to badly. A example here might be that you could have used a little of the foxes orange in the trees outside of the window or used the red on the leaves for the fox. Does that make sense?
OMG we are going to have so much fun at RF. OMG! SO CLOSE! OMG!!!

Yep, it's a school. That is indeed the person who is carrying the last child on Earth, and Theo here (the Fox) has been tasked to protect here until they can get her to safety. And that is the major difference between the book and the movie (there's actually a bundle of differences, be it characters that pop up here and there or the general focus of the book).
That it was, but I didn't mind (an adaptation is just that, after all; doesn't need to be, and in fact shouldn't be direct page-to-screen. Interpretation is key). Like I've been saying over and over, the movie was still beyond great.
And while it was a bit strange as to who couldn't do what (in the book or the movie), I prefer when they left it unexplained. An aurora of mystery is always interesting, after all.
