For an aquaphile, what more personal invitation can you offer, than to dive into love with someone?
Before you comment 'I'd hit that lawl' 'hawt' and 'needs moar whatever' and such, I'll remind you that I do not bring my personal feelings often into FA, and much less stuff like this. So respect the art, and the reasons behind it, and me, and that someone I'm still looking for. Don't embarrass yourself.
The story behind this picture is that I'm mate-lonely. Though life is awesome and cool and spiff (did you not see the two-week UltraCon that was this past Olympics?) there's still that missing someone. This is my drawing that came out of that wish, that desire to share life with that someone, wherever they are.
No, that vixen isn't anyone IRL, or anyone period, she's from my imagination. And she's a total beach bum, who stumbled across this dragon who's clumsy just about everywhere except in a pool... Vixens are beautiful...prr. Just me and that someone out there sharing closeness, touches, and of course paws, but more than anything else, sharing that bond where you know everything is right.
Done with lots of mecha penciling, pencil 'inking' (cuz pens would have made too-dark lines) and a bit of gray marker separating each scene. Color with watercolor pencil and a brush! :) Does this count as a comic? :) Mistakes abound, especially in the hands, augh... but I'm tired from throwing artskill and hours at this. Pencils about 3.5 hours, coloring about another 3.5, and fixes/finishing/details another two... about... @_@ *faints* If I was skilled I'd digitize an intimate dark background. Maybe later, if you are all good furry boys and girls! ;)
To buddies waiting for comissions I PROMISE I'll get back to work now :( *tucks tail between legs and sulks back to the sketchbook*
