The legendary sword from Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii. Earlier this year I had the opportunity to go through the game, and it was well worth the time.

Not long after Shulk was announced for Smash Bros, I felt a sudden desire to make my own Monado! But this one is a little different. I imagined a much longer conflict between the Homs and Mechon where Shulk grew into being a different kind of hero. As the battle waged on for over several years, his trusty Monado began to see quite a bit of damage. Slash marks and small punctures from various Mechon weapons show how desperate he was at times to defend himself. Despite the damage, the blade still works and is just as powerful as ever.

Also, I set to give this a much higher polygon count and texture size, as though it were a "hero item" that appears in cutscenes and the like as opposed to gameplay.
