Reminds me of when I was asked years ago to speak on my research of the fandom for the sociology group and two days before the event I get an email from them saying its "a little too out there" which was rather upsetting since back in 07 the new generation was forgetting a lot of old forgotten furry facts and the mental stats, which psychologists capitolised on a negative fashion. Rather sad. I was asked to write it out as a book back then, but I only had one bit of support other then over a decade of research and that was an anthropologist whom agreed with my research. It was designed for social norms to read and understand furries without negative misconceptions around the world and to actually get it. As Dr. Forescythe stated, I did to furries what religion did for the world ages ago, I "took all the chaos and managed to organize it into something so simple any idiot could pick it up and understand it." Though wish I knew you were writing it, I could have gave you some research to help you out, though I never wrote the book due to lack of "credentials" other then my years of research and a cultural anthropologist to back me up, not to mention I had a stroke and lost a lot of my communication abilities as you can see from my misspelled words and poor grammar haha. Though I do have things typed up and on record if you ever decide you want to do more if this sells well.

I think you're slightly missing the point... it sounds like your book was a factual work while Bad Furry's is quite clearly aimed as a humorous work of fiction...

Not missing the point, just it reminded me of such things and I got a little excited. Hopefully he doesnt get ripped apart because of it by furries whom would disagree with what he writes, that would be awful :(

I can understand your statement on being ripped to shreds, though what bothers me is the topic I had to help elaborate on with my research back in 07, that being the Furry Misconception. Sometimes too much attention is a bad thing, especially with how the fandom is now after 2004. I had to explain many things so people wouldnt freak out and start bad furry hating again (if you heard of the deaths and hard beatings of furries in the past) due to misconceptions. Especially now with the open wide adoptions of fetishes that are looked down upon by the social norms such as diapers, or worse yet the cubs. That was a main focal point of my research and paper because the norms would need to understand mindsets otherwise start going around falsifying information to make furs look bad (in many cases the news and media) and I had to address how this new generation was over exposing furries to younger children and there are many cases of this being a highly bad thing (if you find the news articles on them, I have one left after I got hacked).

Yours though I dont think will be that main stream and sounds like it will be a lot of fun, though if you do sell a lot, keep that in mind if you do another as I could help you out if you need some old information. I would hate for you to get a lot of crap from the norms, though you may not considering the presentation of yours being more silly and goofy rather then mine which is a more serious take (in the sense of social norms). I will buy one, but need money first, how much would it be?

I read a draft of the book and it's nothing but satire, geared for the reader who's not afraid to laugh at himself... even if half of it is true!
