What system you play it on?

PC, I don't own a console

PC is the best way to play anyway :P I just got it for my new computer about a month ago and modding it is so fun :D

Most of the mods I use are a combination of survival and immersion mods, with a few aesthetic ones here and there. I have that Frostfall mod that makes you freeze to death as well as the realistic needs and diseases mod... there are a lot haha.. I'm running about 110 mods.

Oh wow. I'm a little afraid of breaking the game, so I haven't really meddled with mods much. I want to find some that add some more realistic weapons and armor though, and maybe something that makes hunting more fun/worth it lol. But I also haven't really played in a few months, since I got fallout NV.

The process is actually painfully easy and the only real gamebreaking occurs when you start to get around 50 or so mods :P Skyrim Nexus has a program called Nexus Mod Manager that lets you download mods and extract them into the proper folder literally with the click of a single button.

If you were wanting to give it a shot, I would recommend trying out Immersive Armors and Immersive Weapons to get some cool, lore-friendly weapons and armor. For hunting I would recommend Hunterborn :)

I enjoyed Fallout 3 a lot, never played NV but I heard it was also good. I enjoy Skyrim because it is more quest driven and pretty, haha

And I actually wanted to get fallout 3 but steam said it wasn't compatible with Windows 7 :/ but NV is, so I've been playing that and I love it. I just wish it were a little larger, it feels pretty small in comparison to skyrim

You can get it to work!! It's really easy! I did for windows 8 and the process is the same :D
