This is one of my favorite videogame themes, the theme to Skate or Die!
Many people believe that the C64 version had the best music because it used digitized guitar cords in the music. The NES version was perhaps the worst because it was shorter than the computer versions for some reason.
On the plus side though, the NES version did have an extra BGM track that played while you were at the skate shop.
This cover asks, what if EA could’ve used the AdLib in the PC MS-DOS version?
Or perhaps what if a Sega Genesis version existed?
This is what I think it would’ve sounded like.
I used a program called “AdLib Tracker II” to make this cover, and it is also the first cover I made using a tracker program of any kind!
Note: Despite the original version being well within the FA file size limit at 6 megs, I had to upload a lower quality version because my modem would timeout when I tried to upload the original.
Note2: The VRC6 version is now available! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1564096/
Edit: I corrected a small error I made in one of the patterns. You may need to clear your cache with Ctrl+F5 to hear the updated version.
Original theme composed by Rob Hubbard.

Yes, in fact I still have it on NES! ^_^
And if your asking for a Ski or Die cover, I don’t really see much of a point since the PC version did support the AdLib if you typed “SKIORDIE adlib” at the DOS prompt. (I have that version too BTW. ^_~)
OOPS! I forgot to click "Reply!" >_<

Vocals? There wasn’t any vocals in the theme to Skate or Die!. You’re thinking of the sequel, “Skate or Die 2: The Search for Double Trouble.”
I could make a cover of the theme to Skate or Die 2, but AdTracker II doesn’t allow you to use samples, only FM synthesis, so I’d have to use something else to add the vocals.
And as for the vocals, I could use the original samples, but the NES used 1-but DPCM audio.
If I wanted to simulate the Sega Genesis, I’d need 8-bit PCM audio at a higher bit rate.
I don’t have a very good quality microphone, if fact my mic. is actually built into my Eye Toy camera. I’d need a standalone mic., but I can afford one at the moment.
It’s a good idea though, I have thought of using vocals a time or two.

My cousin had Skate or Die 2: The Search for Double Trouble.
It may not've been as good as the original, but EA did take a hint from the C64 by using the digitized guitar samples for the theme music and even voices. Skate or Die 2 was unique in how many voice samples it had for the cut scenes.
And to answer your above comment, the manual said his name was Rodney Recloose, but his likeness was based off of Dangerfield.
