This is the story of the Phantom Beep.
Back at MWFF, when Snowe and I (and @SeraphKaoru, who isn't pictured here for logistics reasons) were having breakfast, Snowe started to hear some beeping noises. We tried to locate the source of it, but couldn't find it. It remained a mystery. So, he dubbed it The Phantom Beep. And, since Beepunchers nickname is "Beeps", this scene was born...
