Flint tries to keep the steel trap of a mouth on the back of his head under control but sometimes that's just not possible, it looks like someone just found out what happens when he's not fully paying attention or too hungry to control himself.

Lotsa things work differently in the manga/comics and would likely work differently IRL too. "Gastro Acid" would definitely work just as nicely as the normal Acid instead of being a harmless Support Move (Though some Pkmn Abilities are fun to negate!)
I also like how the Mystery Dungeon series handles damage and resistance. Lightning can still strike a Ground type, but the damage will be minimal. Similarly, using Bone Club on a Doduo (A FLIGHTLESS BIRD being smacked by a CLUB) will actually do damage. Again minimal because of the flyign type, but see the previous note to realize how stupid that sounds in the Mainstream games.
So yup yup, gulps be fun interpretation of it :>
... Speaking of type-immunity sillyness, that comes into play quite often in the games.
Doduo and Pidgey totally brushing off a massive surge of all-destroying Earth Power or a smack across the skull with Bone Club because 'hurr hurr Flying Type~'
Makes sense for an avian in mid-flight to ignore Earthquake tho.
Similarly, any dragon running around with all four of his move slots being Dragon-typed totally deserves to get KO'ed by the Fairy he's fighting. It's as silly as having a team of all four Charizards, or almost as bad - Five magikarp and a Poliwag. There's a thing called Move Diversity :B
(Can totally see a lvl10 Jiggly shrugging off a lv90 Druggidon's attacks all smug and stuff, and then he just uses Scratch and OHKO's it. Gotta remember it's the move type and not the pokemon you silly :P)
